Terms of service
The terms for ordering from Alexa’s Egg Stand
About these terms
These terms apply when you order from Alexa’s Egg Stand (“we”, “us”, “our”) through our website or buy from our stand in Macclesfield, South Australia. By placing an order you agree to these terms, so please read them before you buy.

Our eggs
Our eggs are laid by our own free-range hens. Because they’re a natural product, size, shell colour and appearance vary from egg to egg and carton to carton.
How many eggs we have depends on the hens, the weather and the season. Stock shown on our website is a guide only. If we can’t fill your order, we’ll let you know as soon as possible and offer a full refund or a later pickup.
Prices and payment
- All prices are in Australian dollars (AUD) and include GST where it applies.
- You can pay by card online, processed securely by Stripe, or by any other method shown at checkout, including cash at the stand where offered.
- Your order is confirmed once payment is received, or once we confirm your reservation for pay-on-pickup orders.
- If a price is shown incorrectly because of an error, we’ll contact you before going ahead, and you can cancel for a full refund.
Pickup and delivery
- Pickup: collect your order from our stand during the pickup times shown at checkout or in your order confirmation. Please bring your confirmation (on your phone is fine).
- Uncollected orders: if an order isn’t collected within the pickup window, please contact us. Fresh eggs can’t be held forever, so we may need to sell them again. We’ll work with you on a credit, a later pickup or a refund.
- Delivery: where we offer delivery, please give an accurate address and make sure someone can receive the eggs or that there is a cool, shaded spot to leave them. Risk in the eggs passes to you once they’re collected or delivered.
Storing and using your eggs
Fresh eggs are a perishable food. For best quality and food safety:
- refrigerate eggs at 5°C or below as soon as you get them home;
- use them by the best-before date on the carton;
- don’t use eggs that are cracked or dirty;
- cook eggs until the white and yolk are firm, and wash your hands after handling raw eggs.
Pregnant women, older people, young children and people with weakened immune systems should avoid raw or lightly cooked eggs.
Changes, cancellations and refunds
- You can change or cancel your order for a full refund at any time before it’s ready for pickup or delivery. Just contact us.
- If eggs arrive cracked, damaged or not of acceptable quality, let us know within 48 hours (a photo helps) and we’ll replace them or give you a refund.
- Refunds go back to your original payment method. Card refunds usually take 5–10 business days to appear.
Our products come with guarantees that can’t be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under that law.
Buying at the stand
Prices displayed at the stand apply to purchases made there. Please pay for what you take using the payment options shown at the stand, and take care around the stand area, especially with children.

To the extent permitted by law, we’re not responsible for indirect or consequential loss arising from your order or use of our website, and our total responsibility for any order is limited to the price you paid for it. This doesn’t limit any rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law.
